Muhammad Didar – Healthy Futures Project Manager
Muhammad Didar has previous management experience and has an academic background in Management. He was a Project Manager for Graduate Forum Careers London prior to his appointment in Healthy Futures. His community and voluntary work, however, has been the driving force behind his development. Previously a voluntary Project Manager of Food4Thought Study Support (2 years), he has extensive knowledge of the needs of the local community related to health and physical activities. He has over 200 hours of Millennium Volunteers Certificate for his voluntary work in the community of Tower Hamlets.   

He has a keen interest in working with young children and developing his management skills further through experience. His qualifications include recruitment and induction, behaviour management, health and safety, disciplinary and grievances, labour, fire and first aid, fair treatment, payroll, risk assessment, and a certificate in Project Management. 

Abdul Kamal – Male Health & Sports Development Officer

Kamal

Abdul Kamal has a solid health related background relevant to the needs of the Project, and is also an ABA Boxing Coach. The users of the services are greatly benefiting from his knowledge and expertise, and he has the following qualifications:

Alema Akthar Khadim – Female Health & Sports Development Officer
Alema Akthar Khadim

Alema Akthar Khadim is the backbone behind the girls’ activities provided under Healthy Futures. She is currently studying for a degree in Economics with Politics at Goldsmith University. She plans and delivers all the girls’ activities with female coaches and volunteers, and also leads on the Health Workshops delivered to children. 'I love working for the community and feel this is a fantastic opportunity for me to make a change in young people's lives'.

 

 

Maruf Ahmed - Health & Sports Development Officer (Newham)
As part of the Elite Youth development, the Healthy Futures programme is keen to launch a replica of the project in the borough of Newham, as an extension to its programme. Key to this development is Maruf Ahmed, a resident of Newham and long time volunteer of Elite Youth in Tower Hamlets. He is a qualified FA Level 1 Football Coach and currently taking his Level 2, and is currently working on developments to expand our services into Newham.

Saria Begum (Oni) – Sessional Worker

Saria Begum is a Sessional Worker for all the girls activities and has been part of the team from the planning and development of the female sports provision of Healthy Futures, and has a great rapport with the young girls using the service.She used to be a participant herself, and feels that 'Elite Youth has encouraged her to take part in sporting activities'. She also says 'I have always played sports and I've enjoyed it, however, after hitting 13, I stopped as I didn't find an approriate place to play. However, Elite Youth organised girls only sessions which was culturally sensitive to my needs and it encouraged me to start to be active again.' She is keen to encourage other girls to do the same, and is a great motivator in the sessions.

  • Qualified in FA Level 1 in Football Coaching.
  • Final year at City University studying mathematical science with finance and economics.
